What began as a small local kitchen quickly became a community staple. Our founder Joe poured years of recipe testing, secret spice blending, and genuine love for the craft into every piece of chicken we serve. Hangry Joe's hot chicken isn't just food — it's an experience.

How We Got Here
From a single kitchen in High Point to a growing brand loved across North Carolina — here's the hangry joe's story, milestone by milestone.
2019 — The Beginning
After months of recipe testing and spice perfecting, Hangry Joe's officially opened at 1915 N Main St in High Point, NC. The response from day one was electric — lines out the door and a flavor profile unlike anything else in the city.
2020 — Recognition
Despite the challenging year, Hangry Joe's thrived with takeaway and curbside service. Local food critics and community polls named us the Best Hot Chicken in the Triad area, cementing our reputation for hangry joe's hot chicken excellence.
2021 — Menu Expansion
We expanded our menu from 8 to 25+ items, introducing new heat levels, sides, sandwiches, and combo meals. Our catering program launched to serve events across North Carolina, bringing hangry joe's bold flavors to parties and corporate gatherings alike.
2023 — Franchise Launch
Hangry Joe's launched its franchise program, opening the doors for passionate entrepreneurs across the United States to bring the hangry joe's hot chicken experience to their communities. Our first franchise location opened in the Southeast in late 2023.
2025 — Online Ordering
We launched our new online ordering platform to make it easier than ever to get Hangry Joe's delivered or ready for pickup. Our digital transformation brought us closer to customers across the US while staying true to our roots in High Point, NC.
